Self practices to see yourself as a whole
1. Journaling Having a ritual of jotting down one’s strengths, weaknesses and neutral attributes is a great self help practice. Jotting down your own achievements and failures is another great self help practice. It aids in self awareness, self improvement and unconditional self acceptance. You will be able to realize that you are a whole having your own strengths and weaknesses, different from others and it doesn’t define your worth as a human.
2. Practice rational workbooks Self practice some rational worksheets. Pasting rational poems, stories or cartoons in your room or home can be a great help to see yourself and others in a new light altogether.
3. Monitor your stream of thoughts Maintaining a diary of self depreciating thoughts along with the situation in which you encounter them is self monitoring. Thought monitoring exercise is highly beneficial for gaining an insight about one’s irrationalities and replacing them with more rational and helpful thought patterns.
